I’ve photographed at Allerton Castle just once before, so it was with some excitement I returned to photograph Rebecca & Phil’s wedding. The sky was clear blue and we were all set for a full on day of celebrations!

Rebecca & Phil run Optimum Fireworks, and this is how I know them both, when I’m not wearing my Photography hat I wear a Fireworks one. I too run my own little professional firework display company, Matthews Brothers Pyro. The professional fireworks world is actually surprisingly small, and we all know each other. It takes a certain type of person (nutcase?) to be involved with fireworks, Rebecca & Phil are right on my wavelength!

There was of course a firework theme running through the day, on the table plan, the centre pieces and of course a massive firework show at the end! Rebecca is also a professional model, so no pressure then!

Of course fireworks were always going to play a big part in the day, and it was a pleasure to stand back and watch this fantastic display Rebecca & Phil put on for their guests…
